Tal Basax is the CEO of the Community Centers Company, a position he has held since June 2021. As part of his role, he is responsible for managing the company, including a network of approximately 1,000 branches in approximately 230 local authorities. The company and the community centers employ approximately 36,000 employees from Dan to Eilat, providing services to approximately 2.5 million citizens on an ongoing basis, and with a total activity volume of approximately 4.5 billion NIS.
Tal has high leadership and management skills, and he works determinedly to lead the community center company to new peaks and heights. Tal has senior management experience and has extensive skills and experience in managing a decentralized and multi-interface organization, and managing collaborations with local authorities, municipal companies and business organizations. In his previous roles, he initiated, established and managed dozens of companies and projects for government ministries on a large scale and with a national reach.
In October 2023, he was called by the Minister of Finance for a national mission, and assumed the role of "Projector" - the head of the civil administration of the 'Iron Swords' War, a role he held during the first months of the war. His role during this period was to integrate all the work of government ministries on civil matters and help them fulfill their responsibilities; to implement necessary steps to ensure functional continuity of the Israeli economy; to deal with aspects related to the care of evacuated citizens; to coordinate the work of the socio-economic cabinet; to provide an economic response to business owners, employees in the private and public sectors, and to all the needs of the economy; and to coordinate all civil initiatives, the business sector, and philanthropic organizations and their relationship with the government.
Prior to his position at the community center company, Tal served as Senior Vice President of the Projects and Business Development Division at Milgam, where he managed approximately 700 employees, and had in-depth knowledge of the public and government sectors.
Tal holds a Bachelor of Laws from Shaarei Mishpat College, a Master of Laws from Bar-Ilan University, a degree in mediation and banking studies with a specialization in banking law, and has worked extensively in the field of civil litigation. He lives in Givat Shmuel with his wife and four daughters.
