Coming for Good - Volunteering for Senior Citizens

"Ba'im LeTov" is the national volunteering network for senior citizens, which has been changing the face of Israeli society for about two decades. Led by the Ministry of Social Equality and the Advancement of Women and in cooperation with the Society of Community Centers, the network offers senior citizens the opportunity to participate in diverse and enriching volunteer activities that enhance their involvement in the community in the areas of economy, society and culture. The network's roots are rooted in the Shalom movement, which was established in the early 2000s. Today, the network operates in more than 140 municipalities with over 17,000 volunteers, in four main tracks: strengthening community resilience and the local emergency network, volunteering in the education system, community entrepreneurship, and promoting volunteering in regenerating localities.

Each volunteer receives professional training and guidance, and the activity is personalized to their interests and the amount of time they have available. Our organization operates among all sectors of society and offers everyone an opportunity to contribute, make an impact, and enrich not only society, but also their personal lives.
