Rights Associates

A unique, innovative and systemic program, designed to bring about change in the exercise of rights in the field of mental health. The program is implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and works with candidates, family members, professionals and the general public; the program assists candidates and their families in exercising the rights they are entitled to, and also assists professionals and service providers to offer accessible and equitable service.
At the heart of the program is a team of "Rights Fellows" - who themselves deal with a mental disability. Alongside their extensive professional knowledge in the field of rights, there is also room for sharing and advice from their personal experience. The Rights Fellows team delivers the lectures and personal consultations, thereby serving as a source of inspiration and hope for the challengers, their families, professionals and anyone who needs guidance on mental health rights. In addition, the program provides training to provide accessible services to mental health challengers for businesses, service providers and police stations.
The "Peers for Rights" program is one of the "Peers" programs of the Society for Community Centers, which works to assist in the recovery process of people with mental health issues in the community for youth, adults, and seniors. The programs support the connection and encouragement of connections between people with mental health issues and the community, work to raise awareness of the field of mental health and to eradicate and reduce stigma, to realize rights, and to make services accessible for people with mental health issues in Israel.
