The program includes 80 teams in five districts and emphasizes fair soccer and joint activities that promote connection, equality, and community.

Last week, the year of activity for the “Community Defender” program began, an initiative that unites children and youth from all parts of Israeli society through soccer games. More than 500 boys and girls participated in tournaments held in the central and southern districts, in which teams of girls, boys, Jews, Arabs, religious and secular played together – all on the same field.
The program includes 80 teams in five districts, competing in four rounds throughout the year. It emphasizes fair soccer and collaborative activities that promote connection, equality, and community, and each team and player receives a medal or certificate of appreciation for participation.
The program is proof that sports connect people from different backgrounds and offers a meeting where competition is secondary and the main thing is cooperation and personal connection.
