Community resilience
Community resilience directly contributes to the resilience of Israeli society as a whole. The Community Center Society works to build communities, strengthen them, and provide a solid community infrastructure.
Building community resilience and creating meaningful connections between community members and between communities and populations makes it possible to narrow gaps and reduce the feeling of polarization.
The Community Center Society operates national programs, educational projects, and social enterprises through approximately 200 community centers throughout the country, enabling every person, of any age and in any community, to be meaningful, involved, and to belong.
The community center is the beating heart of the community, city or village in which it operates. In close collaboration with the local authority, we build a community strategy tailored to the needs of the community, and encourage community members to be involved and work towards a better future.
The community center team and the local authority identify the needs of the community, and provide solutions and answers tailored to each need, with the results being measured and expressed through the community index developed by the company, which indicates the quality of community life.
